Putin Ignores Overwhelming UN Condemnation
Osho, the Preamble of the Charter of the United Nations begins with the words “We the peoples of the United Nations determined to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war….” Can the UN save humanity from war?
“The UN has proved in all these years only one thing: that it is as impotent as its predecessor, the League of Nations.
“The members of the UN are the people who are going to create the third world war. The UN has no power to prevent it; it is only a debating club, and not of the best kind. It is not even democratic.
“The big powers like America and the Soviet Union have the capacity to veto any resolution. Just one nation, America or Russia, can stop any resolution which is being passed by the whole world. Is this democratic? Every nation, small or big, poor or rich, must have equal rights! In all these years the UN has not been able even to do that.
“It is just keeping people consoled: ‘Don’t be afraid, we are going to save you.’ In fact, from whom are they going to save us? They are the people we have to be saved from!
“The UN has not been able to stop the increasing amount of nuclear weapons. That should be the first step if you don’t want the third world war. Why wait for the last moment? Why not start it now? And the basic step will be that no war…
